Gary Bukaty says everything started about two years ago. The exact same Lipton ice tea bottles started showing up in his front lawn. "Had to step over them to go up and get the mail," says Gary. And in his driveway. "Sometimes they'd break in the driveway," he says.
With the frequency of the finds, Gary thought right away the discards were done on purpose. "We thought someone was targeting us that's what we felt like," says Gary. Seasons changed and time went by. Gary says the bottles consistently kept coming. He says,Use bluray burner to burn video to BD DVD on blu ray burner disc. "After a couple years, I figured out it wasn't going to stop."
After all the bottles and broken glass Bukaty picked up, he finally hit his breaking point. "I can either just sit on my butt and not do anything about it or else I can do something. "
Gary decided to take action. He set up cameras and captured the driver on tape time and time again tossing out her Lipton bottle. He kept a calendar of what days a bottle was thrown out and what time. He even figured out who the car belonged to. What he did was above and beyond what most citizens do when crime perpetrated against them.
Prosecutors say it was that evidence led them to Carol Green. She lives about two and a half miles away from Gary on Kansas avenue. She recently pleaded guilty to four counts of littering. When asked by authorities why she did it, she said it was nothing personal - that just happened to be when she finished her drink and tossed the bottle out the window.
"Personally I don't believe that but that's what she said," says Gary. "We don't know them and I don't care to know them."
