Sovereign Business Integration Group Launches EML Visual Dashboard

Sovereign Business Integration Group, the independent IT services and business solutions specialist, has today launched EML Visual Dashboard; a web-based dashboard view to be able to optimise vehicle management within the supply chain and logistics industry. A development of Sovereign’s Event Management Logistics (EML) solution, EML Visual Dashboard presents,An Air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air. in real-time, full visibility of each vehicle’s location and movement within the supply chain at any one time. This ‘live’ status of vehicle movement allows OEMs to forecast what is expected through the supply chain and more effectively manage vehicle movement from plant to dealership.

Incorporating information from the entire supply chain, EML Visual Dashboard’s visual analysis provides an overall picture of what is expected where and when, ensuring that transportation vehicles are prepared accordingly, compounds are running at the optimum capacity and dealerships can specify exact consumer expectation dates for delivery of their new vehicle.Professional Manufacturer for polished tiles. EML Visual Dashboard’s web front end is accessible via a user ID for all those involved in the supply chain and is permission-level based to determine user rights to stop, change or amend any stage of the process via the dashboard. With visuals illustrating map locations, capacity in the compound, status of each stage and alerts to potential issues or conflicts, users can plan accordingly based on the information being conveyed into once central overview.

Stuart Jones, Business Development Manager of Sovereign’s Supply Chain and Logistics Division, comments, “As it stands, it is virtually impossible for each member of the supply chain to accurately predict where their vehicles are and when they will be through the next stage of the process. The measure at the moment is guess work at best and based on predicted number of days, leaving the OEM with no way of optimising any stage of the process.” He continues, “With this is mind, the we have developed EML Visual Dashboard to provide real-time, web-based visibility of each vehicle as it is released,Accept all major credit cards using the top rated third party payment gateway. tracked by the VIN at each stage of its journey.”

Sovereign’s EML Visual Dashboard tracks the average 12 movements from manufacturer to dealership and alerts each party to where the vehicle is at each stage. For the OEM, knowing where each vehicle is at each stage means that each participant in the process can plan to take delivery as appropriate and not only optimise the process in terms of time, but also save costs.

Stuart Jones explains, “As alerts come through the system to notify the user as to where the vehicle is, the appropriate preparations can be put in place to ensure a smooth transition onto the next stage. For instance, instead of directing vehicles to the compound, they can be directed straight to the quayside and go on from there.

Stuart Jones concludes, “The industry is craving a tool like EML VisuaSave up to 80% off Ceramic Tile and porcelain tiles.l Dashboard to provide the visibility to optimise each stage of the supply chain. The solution will reduce costs, reduce time, streamline the process and ultimately deliver better service to the end customer. It is quite a culture change but one that will demonstrate a reward.Online store for ceramic tiles by e-Ceramica group.”

Visual Studio 2012 RC Goes Live

Microsoft is one step closer to delivering the final versions of its Visual Studio integrated development environment and the .NET Framework 4.5. The Release Candidates are available today for download with "Go Live" licenses, in time for the Windows 8 Release Preview, which was also released on Thursday.

The Release Candidates of Visual Studio 11, now officially named Visual Studio 2012, are available to all developers (including MSDN subscribers). In addition to a new name, and a new purple logo, Microsoft is reintroducing a customizable setup process that allows developers to bypass installation of select Visual Studio components.

With or without a streamlined setup, users of the Release Candidates should see improved installations, which are about 20 percent faster than the beta releases, according to Microsoft Corporate Vice President Jason Zander, who heads the Visual Studio team.Let us help you save hundreds of dollars* with 3M Window Insulator Kits.

Zander provided an overview of what's new in the Visual Studio 2012 Release Candidate in his blog and offered a demonstration of some of those features in a Channel 9 Visual Studio Toolbox video, hosted by Robert Green. In addition to the updated user interface, which reintroduces some color in the icons and elsewhere in response to developer feedback on the beta; the RC offers performance enhancements in areas such as typing, the toolbox and large C++ projects, according to Zander.

Visual Studio 2012 features LightSwitch version 2, which adds Metro-style templates and support for the OData protocol.

Stay on top of hurricane season with apps, email and web

This hurricane season a flurry of tweets and a hailstorm of social media information are in the forecast.

The agencies that provide storm-related information on this, the 20th anniversary season of Hurricane Andrew,Compare prices and buy all brands of solar panel for home power systems and by the pallet. will tap technology in the way the masses seems most active these days: online and pushing apps on their phone.

“We have a Twitter account, Facebook posts, YouTube,Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas. a blog and also a new Power Tracker system for customers to monitor, in real time, power outages and restoration efforts,” said Neil Nissan, spokesman for Florida Power & Light.

The Power Tracker allows users to type in their address on a mobile device, tablet or computer and find directions quickly. The recently launched FPL site alerts residents about power outages in their area and how fast they can expect to see service restored.

“It beats the old way people used to have, to call us.Renowned crystal mosaic Supplier and Exporter in China. This can work on anything that has a Web component,” Nissan said.

The growth of social media is simply too big to ignore, especially during the summer months when people in coastal states like Florida, Louisiana, Texas and the Carolinas are at their most anxious.

“Any time we can communicate to our customers quicker and more effectively, it’s a good thing,” Nissan said. “These are important channels to communicate to our customers.TRT (UK) has been investigating and producing solutions for indoor Tracking since 2000.”

The National Weather Service is experimenting with Twitter, meteorologist David Ross said, but is much more active on Facebook since launching a page in March 2011. The page, US National Weather Service Miami Florida, features weather updates, photos of recent events — such as a waterspout captured off the coast of West Palm Beach earlier in May — and warnings. The page ramps up with informational posts during high-impact events.

“The big thing is pushing for people to check out our Facebook pages and the website has the most up-to-date info,” Ross said. Social media sites, like Facebook, are “becoming more popular. We have 1,800 ‘likes’ on our page and it keeps growing,You can find best china Precision injection molds manufacturers from here! especially when you have high-impact events going on.”

Apps, many of them available for free on iTunes for the iPhone and iPad, are becoming more common this hurricane season, as well.

WeatherBug has been around for years and includes multicolored graphics and copious data on storms in the area, a seven-day forecast, detailed analysis of rain totals, wind speeds and camera shots from local areas specific to your location.

Newer additions include state-specific free Hurricane Tracker apps, which will show the plotted course of a hurricane as it threatens coastal territories and provides information on disaster relief efforts.

A $2.99 version of the Hurricane Tracker app adds more features, such as push alerts, audio and video updates, real-time warnings and dozens of maps.

WeatherAlerts, a $4.99 app, sends out alerts that emit sound even when the phone is turned off and includes information on hurricanes, tornadoes and other threatening storms.

The free Hurricane Supply List app could also come in handy as a last-minute reminder for items you need to have on hand at the start of the season, including fresh batteries, water and canned food. The app lets users check-off items once acquired.

Russia contributing to Syrian civil war

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday said Russia's continued support for Assad "is going to help contribute to a civil war."

In pointed remarks in Denmark on the first stop of a European tour, she recounted her discussions with Russian officials and criticized Moscow's rationale for opposing sanctions and other forms of pressure against the Assad government.

"The Russians keep telling us they want to do everything they can to avoid a civil war, because they believe that the violence would be catastrophic," she said, noting that they are "vociferous in their claim that they are providing a stabilizing influence.

"I reject that," she said, complaining that in fact, Russia was propping up Assad's regime. Some 13,000 people have died in 15 months of uprisings.

The calculus doesn't appear to be changing.TRT (UK) has been investigating and producing solutions for indoor Tracking since 2000. Despite joining Western powers earlier this week in condemning the Houla killings, Russia has stood by its opposition to any outside military intervention. Instead, Moscow is urging all sides to focus on U.Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau.N. mediator Kofi Annan's peace plan, which by all accounts has failed to stem the violence.

Clinton also laid out the clearest case yet for why the Obama administration is reluctant to intervene militarily in Syria — especially given Russia's stance — even as it expresses revulsion over last week's massacre of more than 100 people in the town of Houla.

Clinton said Russia and China would have to agree before the U.Features useful information about glass mosaic tiles.S.Welcome to the online guide for do-it-yourself Ceramic tile. and other nations engage in what could become a protracted conflict in support of a disorganized rebel force. And she cited a host of other hurdles to successful military action.

"We're nowhere near putting together any type of coalition other than to alleviate the suffering," Clinton told reporters after meeting with top officials in Denmark, a key contributor to last year's NATO-led mission against Muammar Qaddafi in Libya. "We are working very hard to focus the efforts of those, like Denmark and the United States, who are appalled by what is going on, to win over those who still support the regime,If you have a fondness for china mosaic brimming with romantic roses both inside and outside of Syria."

In remarks to Danish students, Clinton said every day of slaughter in Syria was strengthening the case for tougher international action. But she stressed that such action, including military action, would require support from Syria's ally, Russia, and the rest of the world community. Russia and China have twice vetoed U.N. Security Council sanctions against President Bashar Assad's regime.

Dennis Ross, a former American diplomat and top adviser to President Obama's administration on the Middle East, said the broader Arab world should exert pressure on Russia to change its stance against forced regime change.

"We need to start planning for it," said Ross, adding that such a bold move - which would likely entail some foreign troop presence on Syrian soil - may be necessary to convince Assad his days in power are coming to an end. In Ross' own words, it would change the "psychological balance of power."

Clinton threw her support once again behind the U.N. mediation efforts Thursday, despite acknowledging that "thus far Assad has not implemented any of the six points that are part of Kofi Annan's plan."

She stressed that U.N. observers have nonetheless performed two important functions.

"In many of the areas where they are present, violence has gone down," Clinton said. "And they serve as independent observers, the eyes of the world if you will, in reporting back when terrible events like the recent massacre occur. They've tried to cut through the clutter and disinformation coming from the Syrian government."

She spoke as activists reported more shelling in the central Houla area, where 108 people, most of them women and children, were massacred last week.

Digging into Sunderland’s past

AN investigation is to be launched into a possible Roman dam in Sunderland.

The origins of an ancient stone structure which once spanned the River Wear between North and South Hylton have long been debated by historians.

Now experts from North East Archaeological Research Ltd are to spend the summer studying old maps, records and documents relating to the crossing.

“We will be carrying out a desk-based assessment initially,” said spokesman Phil Abramson.

“As an archaeologist I naturally like to dig, but we need more details first.”

Details of the investigation – funded by cash from Castle Ward’s Community Chest – were revealed at a public meeting in South Hylton on Monday night.

Castle ward councillor and local historian Denny Wilson said: “I really believe we have something here; we just don’t know what it is yet.

“This investigation, I hope,If you have a fondness for china mosaic brimming with romantic roses is the start of something big.Features useful information about glass mosaic tiles. If we could prove beyond doubt that the crossing dates from Roman times it would put Sunderland on the map.”

A flurry of ancient finds in the North and South Hylton areas, including a figurine, pottery shard and several coins, have re-ignited the Roman debate.

But, although generations of local historians have argued that the Romans built a dam to transport goods upriver, very few hard facts have been documented to support the theory.

Dr Gill Cookson, of the Victoria County History of Durham, is to review evidence as part of the North East Archaeological Research Ltd investigation and said: “There is a charter which shows a ferry crossing existed at Hylton in the 1320s but, as yet, I have not seen any evidence to confirm the Romans constructed anything in the neighbourhood.

“That is not, however, to say they did not. We approach this with open minds.”

Old maps of the River Wear reveal the mystery structure was known as the Brig Stones in the 18th and 19th centuries, and that it was used as a causeway by Wearsiders at low tide.TRT (UK) has been investigating and producing solutions for indoor Tracking since 2000.

During Victorian times, the crossing was torn down by the River Wear Commissioners.

Hundreds of tons of stones were removed. Some were used in the foundations of Penshaw Monument and the North Pier, others were dumped on Roker beach.

“Archaeologists have looked at them, and they are clearly Roman in origin,” said Alan Richardson, of the Northern Archaeology Group. “I am in no doubt that there was a sizeable Roman structure at Hylton.”

Other Roman finds have also been documented across Wearside, including a Roman road at Low Ford, Roman cobbles in Grangetown and a Roman mosaic near the Magistrates’ Court.

“Despite the abundance of evidence,Welcome to the online guide for do-it-yourself Ceramic tile. however, there has been an apparent refusal to accept that the Romans had ever been in the River Wear,” added Alan.

Also convinced of the Roman origins of the dam is local historian Ian Stuart.

“The Romans had bases at Biddick and Chester-le-Street and, to get up there by boat, they needed a dam at Hylton. Possibly they built a canal system as well,” he said.

“I’ve found old tools near to what I believe is an old Roman slipway, which could have been used by for splitting timbers or stone, as well as a piece of wall which is very similar to Hadrian’s Wall.”

Pam Tate,Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau. founder of Southwick History and Preservation Society, added: “The meeting showed there are various pieces of knowledge, stories and possible myths to be explored.”

Local historian and former police inspector Norman Kirtlan said: “I believe that Sunderland, and the Wear in particular, was important in Roman Britain.

“Evidence suggests that the mouth of the river was very likely to be defended by two forts, one north, one south. Why defend a river unless you actually have something to defend?”

Nissan Murano offers mature sophistication that’s sporty and luxurious

It was nearly 10 years ago that the world first set eyes on the Murano and it was stunning to see such avant-garde styling on an SUV. What had come before were closer to enclosed pick-up trucks with stiff suspensions and basic interiors.

The Murano introduced the possibility of futuristic styling, luxurious cabins and technology plus performance and handling. This was a game-changer.

For 2012 the Murano stays the course with the introduction of its “mobile suite” interior and more advanced technology with a new package for the LE model which we tested, the Platinum Edition. Here's a complete list of oil painting supplies for the beginning oil painter.

The exterior shape is still distinctively Murano-esque yet no longer exclusive to Nissan. It has been updated to carry the latest arrow-shaped rear tail lights like the sporty 370Z. The front grille and fascia is all new with an intricate mosaic of shapes combining the high-intensity discharge bi-functional projector headlights, turn indicators and chrome grille.

The front bumper has a major overbite while a pair of projector-type driving lights frame the lower grille. Massive wheel arches, filled with special 20-inch, titanium finish alloy wheels on the Platinum Edition (why not call it the Titanium Edition?),Factory direct stone mosaic featuring marble mosaic floors. flow up to the clamshell style hood and repeat at the rear. The side profile shows off the side glass’s signature triangular shape at the rear pillar, something the Murano introduced a decade ago.

The rear window is another complex shape that follows the flowing crest of the rear fenders and matches the angular tail lights with LED bulbs. Two chrome-tipped exhaust pipes exit through the lower edge of the rear bumper, proudly claiming their place in the sport SUV class.

The “mobile suite” interior is a pleasant balance of sport and luxury, again a Murano characteristic since Day 1. The Merlot (maroon) exterior of the test vehicle was complimented nicely by the tan leather interior, but I found the light colour was quick to show dirt.

The centre stack features one of the best navigation/info displays (seven-inch touchscreen) in the business with user-friendly graphic interface, menu structure and intelligent search capabilities and a rear-view camera when reversing.Ekahau rtls is the only Wi-Fi based real time location system solution that operates on any brand or generation of Wi-Fi network. A Bose stereo with 11 speakers and a subwoofer ensure that you favourite music source sounds its best.

The heated leather-faced seats have eight-way adjustments for the driver while the rear seats have powered flip-up for convenience at the touch of a button.

All of the 2012 Muranos feature Nissan’s award-winning VQ series engine – a 3.Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas.5-litre DOHC V6 with 260 horsepower and 240 foot-pounds of torque. The engine incorporates a Twin Nissan Variable Induction Control System, microfinished camshaft and crankshaft surfaces, diamond-like-carbon-coated valve lifters, plastic resin intake manifold for weight-savings, forged crankshaft,What is a real time Location system ? digital knock control system, and a lightweight aluminum block with aluminum cylinder heads.

The engine power is transferred through an Xtronic continuously variable transmission with adaptive shift control that provides a sporty driving experience when using the paddle shifters and the fuel economy that a CVT can offer. Every 2012 Murano comes equipped with an “intuitive all-wheel drive system” that adjusts to road conditions in the blink of an eye. The system provides increased traction by distributing engine torque, depending on the driver’s intended direction and the actual direction of the vehicle. Vehicle dynamic control with a traction control system are standard on all Murano models.

It’s about more than the Dalai lama

“Mongolians and Tibetans are like this.” Actually, there was a pantomime of hands held parallel as the Tibetan man said: “Mongolia people…Tibet people...” Looking at me to make sure I understood, he moved his hands together.

I heard these words from my Tibetan guide during my trip through Western China in April. We had camped overnight in April near Songpan in Aba County in a Tibetan Prefecture during a horse trek. I didn’t know Tibetan or Chinese and his English was very limited but we bonded when I mentioned my destination of Mongolia. I’d come to this region from Chengdu China, taking an overland route.

I had learned that a sizable Tibetan nomad population--quite comparable with Mongolian nomads--existed in the Sichuan, Gansu and Qinghai Provinces, beyond the more well-known Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) which most associate Tibet with. The area had just opened up to travelers after a two-month closure. The Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures (TAP) exist outside the TAR, but do not require the permits and guides which push travel in the TAR to $150 per day.

The downside of the TAP is that they can close down without notice when trouble—i.e.Here's a complete list of oil painting supplies for the beginning oil painter.: protests—are brewing. Permits aren’t issued at all to the TAR during the sensitive annual period of Tibetan New Year roughly spanning from February until the beginning of April and foreigners are also completely restricted from TAP areas as well. This time period corresponds with an increase in protests and self-immolations (setting oneself on fire, a form of suicidal protest) from Tibetans. However, most of the protests, and particularly the self-immolations, happen in the TAP. The TAP also contains the last of the Tibetan nomads, estimated to be as high two million and as low as one million or less.

Losang explains, “Though the Chinese government tries to paint a picture to the rest of the world that Tibetans love China and the Communist government,Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas. in reality many hate it. In March 2008,What is a real time Location system ? tension boiled over and there was widespread violence and protests all across Tibet (including the Amdo and Kham regions found outside of the Tibet Autonomous Region). This page contains information about molds. While the violence in Lhasa lasted just four or five days, in other remote nomadic communities, the violence lasted for over three months.”

Tibet has three regions: U-Tsang makes up the TAR, Amdo is found in the Qinghai and western Gansu provinces, while Kham is in northwestern Sichuan. Nomadic populations are found in Kham and Amdo, and also have the most politically-minded Tibetans according to Losang.

“It is actually uncommon for fighting and protests to originate in Lhasa. The Tibetans who live Amdo … and Kham are far more patriotic and loyal to the Dalai Lama and cause exponentially more problems than Lhasa people do. About 60% of the Tibetan people live outside of the Tibet Autonomous Region and these 60% are very patriotic.”
I had started my first horse trek in Songpan, located in the Kham region, but next made my way to Langmusi in the Amdo.Ekahau rtls is the only Wi-Fi based real time location system solution that operates on any brand or generation of Wi-Fi network. Further up the highway by six hours, the region is far more rustic, having simple Tibetan towns decorated with prayer flags and temples throughout the vast plateau.

White canvas nomad tents (illustrating a transition from the traditional black yak wool tents formerly used) and yak herds also dot the grasslands by the highway. Accessible by bus, Langmusi is a relatively easy way to view traditional Tibetan nomadic culture. Going deeper in the Tibetan Plateau--where most traditional nomads live requires, according to Losang, another four to seven days to drive to and another two to five day horse trek.

Langmusi has two large monasteries, the Kirti Gompa and Serti Gompa—and a significant military presence. Monks tend to gather in tea houses to peer out the window in the afternoons, while nomads walk around town in a relaxed swagger that brings to mind Mongolian herders. The men sported long hair, wrap-around overcoats and scarves that covered their faces ninja-style. The women wore colorful long dresses and braided hair. I booked another horse trek through Langmusi Tibetan Horse Trekking to get a home stay experience in nomad culture.

The travel literature warned that during winter, which lasts well into April, the women would be in towns and villages while the men would be out with the yaks. The literature also stated that nowadays many men don’t go in the fields anymore but instead drink tea all day. Losang says that alcoholism, fights and gambling are common in male nomads giving up herding--similar to the ger districts of Ulaanbaatar. Violence is also common (though not toward foreigners), despite the common world-view of Tibetans as peaceful.

Solar power faces eclipse from US tariffs

It's hard not to notice the huge tilting solar walls at the headquarters of Suntech Power Holdings,Choose from our large selection of Cable Ties. the world's largest producer of silicon solar modules, located in Wuxi city, East China's Jiangsu province. Through the use of solar power, the walls provide 80 percent of the electricity required by the building, with zero emissions of air pollutants.

The solar power industry, globally, is being overshadowed by falling prices and slowing demand. Moreover, Chinese solar panel manufacturers are facing the possibility of stiff new tariffs from the US Commerce Department which, if approved, could come into force in October. However, there are few signs of recession at Suntech's manufacturing base.

"The production line is operating normally. And we are well prepared with our internationalized production," said Zhang Jianmin, senior manager of the CEO's office. Suntech exported 460 megawatt modules to the US last year, accounting for 23 percent of the company's total global shipments.

Since the beginning of the year, all the modules Suntech has exported to the US have been fitted with solar cells made outside the Chinese mainland, mainly in Taiwan which will not be subject to the proposed tariffs.

Smaller producers are suffering the most. "We have lost all overseas orders and are relying simply on domestic orders now. So, we have stopped half of the production lines and lost almost 20 million yuan ($3.2 million)," said a man called Sun from Taizhou city, Zhejiang province, who was reluctant to reveal the name of his solar-module company for fear of alerting rivals to his problems.Ekahau rtls is the only Wi-Fi based real time location system solution that operates on any brand or generation of Wi-Fi network.

Sun said he and some friends invested 200 million yuan in the company, which began production in 2009, but they now may have cause to regret their decision because of the current industry malaise.

On May 17, the Obama administration proposed the imposition of stiff new tariffs on Chinese-made solar panels, claiming that Chinese companies are improperly flooding the US market with government-subsidized products. While 61 specific Chinese companies, including Suntech, will be subject to the duty of about 31 percent, others will be subject to a rate of 250 percent. "It is impossible to remain price-competitive with a tariff of 31 percent," said Zhang. However, the duties only apply to solar cells, not to the modules in which they are assembled, which means manufacturers on the Chinese mainland can serve the US market with cells from alternative sources. And that is exactly what they are doing.

Zhang admitted that the use of solar cells manufactured in Taiwan will push the price of his company's modules higher, and while he declined to provide figures, he insisted that the company's products will remain competitive in the US market.

At present, Taiwan has the capacity to manufacture solar cells capable of generating 7,300 mW, more than double the expected size of the US market,Distributes and manufactures RUBBER SHEET. which is on course to be about 3,000 mW this year. The price of the cells is about 10 percent higher than those made on the mainland,All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats. according to PVMate, a photovoltaic industry magazine.

CEOs from other big solar players, including Changzhou-based Trina Solar and Suzhou-based Canadian Solar, also confirmed that they are using cells made outside the Chinese mainland to avoid the prospective tariff.Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau.

"The cost will be higher with the US duties on Chinese solar products. However, the increased cost will be transferred to the downstream US distributors, installers, and consumers," said Gao Jifan, CEO of Trina Solar, noting that several downstream US companies have been forced to delay their own projects because of uncertainties over policy and prices.

Strife sours peace at Esalen

The world-famous Esalen Institute hasn't seen this much controversy since a psychic was hired in 1979 to contact extraterrestrials for advice on reorganizing management. Now, as Esalen marks its 50th anniversary, veterans of the New Age retreat center best known for massages, self-awareness and naked hot-tubbing say a new crisis has emerged: a corporate philosophy bent on making money and turning the institute into a boutique-style spa.

"We've lost sight of what this place was founded for," said Bill Herr, who has been connected with Esalen for two decades and is now the director of its art center.

The controversy comes at a time when the institute is striving to maintain its identity,Choose from our large selection of Cable Ties. relevance and bottom line — long after its pioneering achievements have gone mainstream: yoga classes at the YMCA, massages at the mall, organic food at Walmart.

Tensions reached a boiling point last month when three beloved midlevel managers were abruptly laid off as part of a "restructuring." The widow of one of the two co-founders as well as an Esalen board member resigned in protest. A son of one founder and a nephew of another worry about Esalen's legacy. And every day at 1 p.m., a defiant group — sometimes as many as 70 people — gather in a silent "circle of honor" to mourn the loss of the laid-off co-workers.

"It's been a bloodbath in ways as the old school has met the new," said David Schiffman, 69, who has led "vision quests" and workshops at Esalen for 43 years. He recently decided to stop singing and drumming at the "spirit calling and purification" ceremonies on a deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

"I didn't want to be fiddling while Rome burned," Schiffman said. "I couldn't imagine playing music in a place where people were having the music squeezed out of them."

Founded by Michael Murphy and Dick Price in 1962, Esalen quickly became a symbol of California's hippie counterculture, attracting the music and pop psychology icons of the day — from Bob Dylan and Joan Baez to Timothy Leary,Ekahau rtls is the only Wi-Fi based real time location system solution that operates on any brand or generation of Wi-Fi network. Fritz Perls and Abraham Maslow, whose "hierarchy of needs" became required college reading.

In the 1970s, Murphy's "Golf in the Kingdom" became a best-seller. And in the '80s, Esalen became known for "hot tub diplomacy" when it tried to play a role in easing Cold War tensions by hosting Soviet diplomats on tours of America, including then-Moscow Mayor Boris Yeltsin, and meetings with their U.S. counterparts.

"In its day, Esalen was the TED Talks and Burning Man all rolled into one," said David Price, general manager from 1995 to 2003 and son of co-founder Dick Price, who died when he was crushed by a Big Sur boulder in 1985. "I just don't see it as having that level of impact right now. To me, it's a shame."

And while the current strife "looks like a management vs. labor kind of dispute," said the art center's Herr, "what's really going on is a kind of cultural assault."

But Esalen President Gordon Wheeler and board member Bill James say Esalen remains a vibrant place where for the past eight years — many of those recessionary years — it has welcomed record numbers of guests to sex and marriage sessions, organic farming seminars, human potential workshops and leadership conferences.

Still, Wheeler said, "it is true we have to have more emphasis on accountability and job effectiveness than we used to. We're a nonprofit. We do need to break even. The pressures for that are greater than they used to be, for sure."

The controversy has been made all the more painful and intense, he said, by the isolation of the institute 45 miles down the rocky coastline from Monterey — and the fact that about 100 employees live on the property and feel as close as family. Many participate in the "work/study" program,Distributes and manufactures RUBBER SHEET. living on the property,Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau. doing housekeeping or working in the garden and kitchen, as well as joining groups of stocking-feet workshop guests in meditation and other self-help seminars.

The recent changes have been especially difficult for those who go back decades. Like most companies, James said, Esalen employees now must log their hours and explain overtime — which to old-timers "smacks of not being trusted. All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats." And after a recent incident in which a busy, exasperated kitchen employee refused to make a birthday cake for a guest, James said, employees were encouraged to "smile and nod" at guests as they pass them along the dirt pathways.

This is the weekend when quiet turns to bustle on the main streets of most towns in the Catskills, and we gear up for the season.

There is definitely a bustle at 86 Partition Street in Saugerties, fresh paint on the walls and Big Band music keeping the pace up. Shari Weingarten and Kathleen Smith Honzik, have been making up for lost time busying themselves getting ready to open the doors to their new shop, Light House — Home and Entertaining Essentials. Everything you need to enjoy your home and host others to do the same. It is exciting. There is so much love in the room — almost as if they are blessing each item with camaraderie before it goes home to you. Shari and Kathleen are childhood friends who reunited last year and opening this shop together is more than a labor of love. Their energy together is perfect for the Feng Shui. You want to sit and have tea with them.

Since moving to Woodstock in 5th grade, Shari has found herself more at home in this area than anywhere else. Graduating from Onteora in 1986, Shari went to SUNY Purchase for Music Composition, a classical pianist since elementary school. Shari recognized that her stage fright would limit her chances of taking the talent all the way to a career, and plunged into recording engineering which fast became a love of hers.

In an effort to maintain continuity in her major, she and several other students lWhat is a real time Location system ?iterally developed a new major — Studio Composition, combining the two disciplines. Being such a new program, it meant different things to different people, but for Shari, it was a way to stay at Purchase, study music and go on to be a recording engineer, which she did until the lifestyle became too much.

“You show up at ten in the morning and work until two in the morning seven days a week. No one should do that for too long.”

Not long after that, Shari found herself teaching for The Culinary Institute Of America. She took a childhood hobby of preparing delicious meals and entertaining at home to providing comfort to innumerable people across the globe as second chair in a program commissioned by US AIR to upgrade its first class food and service program for flights departing from several major U.S. hubs to places like Paris, London and Madrid. She taught eight-course meal service to international flight attendants — with classes ranging from wine pronunciation,Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas. to cultural awareness. When asked how she landed a job like that, Shari will tell you, ‘it just happened.’ She has a way of making you feel comfortable and taking a compliment with grace. And it is not difficult to see how she could teach others how to strive for a similar quality. “My mother expected me to study at the CIA since I got French Cooking For Kids and made the family Pork chops at seven years old. She never mentioned it, knowing that I would have balked if it had been at her suggestion, and it never occurred to me.”

At the end of that contract, Shari moved to Florida, and then to Pennsylvania where she worked at Williams Sonoma. “I was a stay at home mother, that job gave me an opportunity to get out of the house. This page contains information about molds. And…I learned everything you could ever want to know about cutlery and cookware! It was the perfect way to be with other adults and spend time doing things I loved. Here's a complete list of oil painting supplies for the beginning oil painter.”

In 2005 Shari came home again with her two daughters, 11 year old Evi and Kaia, who is 9. Shari wants them to grow up here, and share the kind of roots that she has held on to. It is easy to come home, “When you are from Woodstock, you don’t really fit in anywhere else in the world. I enjoyed living other places, and sometimes I think it would be good to live in other places again, but nothing is quite like here, it kind of pulls you back. You go away and come back, go and come back, and every time you come home, it’s Woodstock.”

Dream of carousel in Tri-Cities inches closer to reality

Tri-Citians may be able to ride on a 100-year-old carousel horse as soon as next summer if a group of business and community leaders transform a decade-old dream into reality.Distributes and manufactures RUBBER SHEET.

Eric Van Winkle, chairman of the 16-member Three Rivers Carousel Foundation, told the Kennewick City Council on Tuesday that the nonprofit could have the Carousel of Dreams up and running in 13 months without using any more taxpayer dollars.

The cost for a new building reminiscent of a circus tent to house the carousel and to construct a mechanical platform so the 44 horses can bob up and down once again would be about $1.9 million, Van Winkle told the council.

That includes $1.6 million for the building, located between the Southridge Sports and Events Complex and the baseball fields. A gazebo would have to be moved so there is room for the 12,000-square-foot building, Van Winkle said.

An estimated $250,000 would get the 1910 Charles Carmel carousel back to mechanical running condition, he said.

"It's 100-year-old world-class art that you can touch and feel," Van Winkle said.

The council was considering selling off the carousel horses to recoup some of the $830,000 the city invested in the project. The horses, bought in 2003, were restored and have been sitting in city storage.

But the city gave the nonprofit and its new board members another chance to finish the project in January.

Kennewick Mayor Steve Young said the foundation has given the council exactly what was needed.

"I am impressed with how far you have come," he said.

The foundation plans to operate the carousel for public rides, as well as renting out the building for events, such as weddings and corporate gatherings,Secured handsfree building and door access solutions with Hands free access by Nedap AVI.Choose from our large selection of Cable Ties. Van Winkle said. Two banquet rooms and a gift shop are part of the design.

Van Winkle expects the carousel to operate at a loss for the first two years, but said the foundation plans to for the carousel to become self-sustaining.

Councilman Don Britain said he still is convinced the carousel won't generate enough money to sustain itself and will become the city's responsibility.

He said he wanted time to review the group's proposed three-year operating budget.

The foundation's projections show an operating loss of $88,350 in the first year, $60,500 the second year and $32,750 the third year.

The budget starts at about $216,000 for the first year, including one full-time manager and several part-time employees. The initial plan is to keep the carousel open 200 days a year for about eight hours a day.

The foundation estimates ridership will start at 50,000 the first year and increase to 75,000 the third year. Cost would be $2 per ride.

The city would continue to own the land and carousel, and would own the building the foundation will pay for,Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau. Van Winkle said. The foundation would lease the property and building from the city and hire an executive director to handle operations.

Councilman Bob Parks said he would support moving forward on the project.

But he said he wants to make sure the city will not end up supporting the carousel financially any more than it has.

The city already has made a large investment in it, he said. Parks previously said he wanted the city to get back the $830,000 already spent on the carousel.

Parks said he thinks the right group of people are behind the project. He hopes they will be successful in finishing the carousel in the 13 months the group has proposed.

"If it is going to go, it needs to go," he said.

Van Winkle said they expect to receive about a third of the money from in-kind donations. Already, $300,000 has been donated without active fundraising, he said. And they still have $40,000 in the bank.

Dwight Marquart, the foundation's vice chairman, told the Herald he and many of the new board members want to see a merry-go-round that will add to the region's quality of life.

"All kinds of people have said they want to be a part of this. There's a lot of passion out there," said Marquart, who became involved in the carousel project about a year ago.All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats.

The foundation has moved the mechanical platform to a Port of Kennewick-owned building on Columbia Drive so the parts could be inventoried and assembled. That building was leased at no cost, except for the $500 insurance.

More of the pieces are useable than the foundation's board expected, including some of the costly parts like the large gears, Van Winkle said.

He said they are making molds of the parts so pieces can be more easily repaired later.

Midwest Gets Sustainability Boost with First GRI Conference

The US heartland will get a sustainability boost this month, as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) holds its first conference in St Louis, Missouri on 22-23 May 2012. Midwestern companies are rallying to make sustainability part of their organizational strategy and operations, and the GRI conference shows how the international movement towards sustainability and transparency in business has taken hold in the region.

With the theme Making Sustainability Count: Tracking Progress, Driving Opportunity, the conference will provide companies in the region with practical solutions, helping them track their sustainability performance and progress towards a sustainable economy.

GRI provides a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used around the world. The GRI Guidelines help companies report their economic, environmental and social performance.

GRI has a regional Focal Point in New York, which is organizing this first US conference, with the support of St. Louis University (Emerson Ethics Center & Center for Sustainability) and the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association.

“We are excited for the St. Louis region to host this conference and for our area companies to share best practices on how sustainability can lead to business growth”, says Eric Schneider, Senior Director of Energy and Environment for the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association.

"I am thrilled that GRI,All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats. Saint Louis University (Center for Ethics and Sustainability) and RCGA have come together to raise awareness on the importance of Sustainability; this will be a great platform to generate more ideas and initaitives to faciliatate sustainability efforts in our region, says Dr Nitish Singh of the Center for Ethics & Sustainability of St Louis University.

With Master Classes and experience sharing, this event will help equip delegates with the practical knowledge needed to advance sustainability reporting in their organization, the midwest, and the USA.

Herman Mulder, Chairman of the Global Reporting Initiative, will talk about the future of reporting, kick-starting the Conference on 23 May. More than 200 delegates and speakers will gather to share stories and experiences, explore trends in reporting, and gain new expertise.

Mike Wallace, Director of GRI’s Focal Point USA,Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau. explained the importance of the conference.Distributes and manufactures RUBBER SHEET. “This is the first time such an international collection of sustainability professionals has come together in the Midwest to explore sustainability at a regional level. We are still facing difficult financial times, and integrating long-term sustainability concepts into core business strategy can give companies and the economy a much needed boost in performance.

“This is an exciting opportunity to come together and introduce thought leaders from across industry and the global economy and work together to learn and integrate new sustainable strategies,” added Wallace.

Folsom pottery artist showcases her work at Jazz Fest

Folsom pottery artist Sherryl Lutz fit in perfectly at the Louisiana Marketplace on the second weekend of the 2012 Jazz Fest with her Louisiana themed gumbo bowls,Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau.Secured handsfree building and door access solutions with Hands free access by Nedap AVI.Choose from our large selection of Cable Ties. platters and tureens. Her pottery was exhibited at the Contemporary Marketplace, which showcases the work of Louisiana’s finest contemporary and traditional artists who incorporate cultural themes into their art. Lutz has exhibited in that space for 11 years and this was the third time she was scheduled on the four-day weekend.

“I have great customers, and I heard that some of them were looking for me on the first weekend,” she said, adding that many of her customers are Jazz Fest die-hards so they also stopped by her booth on the second weekend. “I worry about the regular customers I may have missed on the first weekend because some people plan ahead and look forward to adding to their collection.”

Lutz’s seafood themed pieces are beautifully glazed in earth tones that have full-sized shrimp laying gracefully along the edge and crabs gently embedded into the side of large serving bowls.

Although Lutz has been a full-time potter for about 25 years, she was interested in art at an early age and got her start in clay when her grandmother taught her how to make clay magnolias by rolling out the clay and forming petals.

After high school on the south shore, she earned a bachelor’s degree in ceramic sculpture at Nicholls State University then earned a masters of fine arts from Washington State University.

“I took a clay class as an elective while I was at Nicholls and that was it; I was hooked,” she said. “But when I got out of school I was not sure what to do.”

Lutz knew she wanted to be a potter, so she worked various jobs to buy equipment to fill her own studio. She practiced the pottery skills she learned in school and started showing her work at various shows around the area.

“I like using my hands to find familiar shapes in the clay and thinking about how many generations of people before me have done this,” she said.

When she moved to Folsom about 18 years ago, Lutz lived on family property and set up a makeshift studio in an old barn. Now, she has her own studio and showroom.

The sculptural aspect of Lutz’s pottery flowed into her work when she lived along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and started collecting seashells and beached fish, which she used to cast in clay and add to her stoneware pieces. She collected castings of bird footprints which she used in the bottom of platters.

All of Lutz’s work is hand-thrown on a wheel but she adds the crab, shrimp and fish castings to her Louisiana Seafood collection of food safe functional pottery which is earthy yet refined enough to fit into any décor.

“It looks like Louisiana with the actual cast pieces which are often incorporated as handles and really shows off the food,” she said. “That is what the locals and visitors want to see at Jazz Fest.”

Since the molds Lutz uses are created from real sea life, you get the imperfections such as crab claws that are different sizes. The shrimp look like they are resting on the edges of the platters and the fish congregate in schools on platters.

Lutz particularly enjoyed being at Jazz Fest on May 3, which is considered by many to be “locals day.”

“You develop a connection with your customers and look forward to seeing them,All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats.” she said. “They are not just buying a piece of pottery but something from you personally and there is a connection with that.”

Lutz also appreciates the way the Jazz Fest organizers take care of the artists.

“Jazz Fest is a great show not only for the music but the how they showcase the art,” she said. “The people who organize and manage the show make it easy for us.”

Lutz added that since the Louisiana Marketplace section is across from the Fais-Do-Do stage, she and the other artists get to hear great music throughout the day.Distributes and manufactures RUBBER SHEET.

Lutz exhibits monthly at the New Orleans Artist’s Market at Palmer Park located at the corner of Carrollton and Claiborne avenues as well as the Red Stick Art Market sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

Lutz enjoys what she does and moves from the creativity and execution involved in fancy serving pieces to the dedication it takes to build up inventory for a large show.

“I would like to spend more time doing more elaborate pieces and I feel like I am heading that way,” she said. “Pieces that are functional but more sculptural like the tureen with crab and shrimp; getting back to what I studied in school and use some of what I learned there.”

But Lutz also enjoys getting out of the studio, going to shows, talking to other artists and interacting with her customers.

“My customers will tell me what they have bought from me and I ask them how they are using the pieces,” Lutz said. “I encourage them not to just let the pieces sit on a shelf.”

Cooperative Banking is the Exciting Wave of the Future

According to both the Mayan and Hindu calendars, 2012 (or something very close) marks the transition from an age of darkness, violence and greed to one of enlightenment, justice and peace. It’s hard to see that change just yet in the events relayed in the major media, but a shift does seem to be happening behind the scenes; and this is particularly true in the once-boring world of banking.

In the dark age of Kali Yuga, money rules; and it is through banks that the moneyed interests have gotten their power. Banking in an age of greed is fraught with usury, fraud and gaming the system for private ends. But there is another way to do banking; the neighborly approach of George Bailey in the classic movie It’s a Wonderful Life. Rather than feeding off the community, banking can feed the community and the local economy.

Today, the massive too-big-to-fail banks are hardly doing George Bailey-style loans at all.Choose from our large selection of Cable Ties. They are not interested in community lending. They are doing their own proprietary trading—trading for their own accounts—which generally means speculating against local interests. They engage in high-frequency program trading that creams profits off the top-of-stock market trades; speculation in commodities that drives up commodity prices; leveraged buyouts with borrowed money that can result in mass layoffs and factory closures; and investment in foreign companies that compete against our local companies.

We can’t do much to stop them. They've got the power,Ekahau rtls is the only Wi-Fi based real time location system solution that operates on any brand or generation of Wi-Fi network. especially at the federal level. But we can quietly set up an alternative model, and that's what is happening on various local fronts.

Most visible are the Move Your Money and Occupy Wall Street movements.Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas. According to the Web site of the Move Your Money campaign, an estimated 10 million accounts have left the largest banks since 2010. Credit unions have enjoyed a surge in business as a result. The Credit Union National Association reported that in 2012, for the first time ever, credit union assets rose above $1 trillion. Credit unions are non-profit, community-minded organizations with fewer fees and less fine print than the big risk-taking banks, and their patrons are not just customers but owners, sharing partnership in a cooperative business.

The Move Your Money campaign has been wildly successful in mobilizing people and raising awareness of the issues, but it has not made much of a dent in the reserves of Wall Street banks, which already had $1.6 trillion sitting in reserve accounts as a result of the Fed’s second round of quantitative easing in 2010. What might make a louder statement would be for local governments to divest their funds from Wall Street, and some local governments are now doing this. Local governments collectively have well over a trillion dollars deposited in Wall Street banks.

A major problem with the divestment process is finding local banks large enough to take the deposits. One proposed solution is for states,Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau. counties and cities to establish their own banks, capitalized with their own rainy day funds and funded with their own revenues as a deposit base.

Today only one state actually does this: North Dakota. North Dakota is also the only state to have escaped the credit crisis of 2008, sporting a sizeable budget surplus every year since. It has the lowest unemployment rate in the country, the lowest default rate on credit card debt, and no state government debt at all. The Bank of North Dakota (BND) has an excellent credit rating and returns a hefty dividend to the state every year.

Meanwhile,All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats. there is a strong movement at the local level for sustainable, “values-based” banking—conventional banks committed to responsible lending and service to the local community. These are George Bailey-style banks, which base their decisions first and foremost on the needs of people and the environment.

One of the leaders internationally is Triodos Bank, which has local offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany. Its Web site says that it makes socially responsible investments that are selected according to strict sustainability criteria and overseen by an international panel of “stakeholder” representatives representing various community, environmental, and worker interest groups. Investments include the financing of more than 1,000 organic and sustainable food production projects, more than 300 renewable energy projects, 33 fair trade agricultural exporters in 22 different countries, 85 microfinance institutions in 43 countries, and 398 cultural and arts projects.

Global Connections And Global Citizens

Good afternoon.Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas. It is a great pleasure to join you on this day of celebration, and I would like to thank Dean Ellwood for his kind invitation.

This is a day of hope—after achieving success in one of the world’s most prestigious universities, you are now ready to bring your incredible talents and enthusiasm to bear on the world’s most pressing problems and exciting challenges, making it better.

This is also a day of joy—after a long and arduous climb, you have reached the top of a mountain and can now bask in the glorious view.

But rest assured, there will be more mountains ahead. It was Nelson Mandela who said that “after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb”.

Remember, the future is yours to shape and mould into whatever image you choose. But although you will soon set off down many different paths, I believe all these paths have something important in common. You will all, in your own way, be advancing the public interest. You will have different destinations, but the same overarching goal: making it better.

This is why you came to the Kennedy School in the first place. Dean Ellwood puts it beautifully when he says that everybody at the Kennedy School is united by a common desire to make the world a better place. There is no nobler goal than this. And in today’s interconnected world, these ideals are more important than ever.

So the question I ask you is this—do you have the courage to desire, even demand, a better world to leave to your children?

Across the long tide of human civilization,Ekahau rtls is the only Wi-Fi based real time location system solution that operates on any brand or generation of Wi-Fi network.Painless Processing provides high risk merchant account solutions. there have been many ebbs and flows, many advances and retreats, many great strides forward and many shattered opportunities. But there has never been a time quite like the present, because history does not repeat itself, and because we produce progress.

We stand at the entrance of a new world, a whole new way of living, of communicating, of crossing borders. It is the great paradox of our age: the world gets bigger,Shop for oil painting and oil paintings for sale included. with so many more people and places sharing the fruits of knowledge and prosperity; and the world gets smaller, with so many more people and places crossing paths and sharing destinies.

For today, the world is more closely-knit than ever before. An infinity of little interconnections dances across the fabric of global society,What is a real time Location system ? transforming millions of fragmented images into one dazzling mosaic.

As George Bernard Shaw put it, “We are all dependent on one another, every soul of us on earth”.

People are meeting each other in the global marketplace of goods and ideas more than at any point in history.

Since 1980, the volume of world trade has quintupled. People are flowing more freely across borders. About 900 million tourists traveled between countries in 2010, up from a mere 25 million in 1950. The world has over 200 million migrant workers, up from 78 million in 1965.

Highly-skilled professionals—like yourselves—are even more mobile. Foreigners make up between a fifth and a quarter of the professional workforce in countries like Australia, Canada, and Switzerland.

Look at modern business. There is no greater symbol of American industrial pride than the roaring automobile industry in Detroit. And in 2010, for the first time in its history, General Motors sold more cars in China than at home.

Global companies like Nokia, Nestle and Philips earn only 1-2 percent of total sales from their home countries. Indian information technology companies regularly generate up to 95 percent of their sales in Europe and the United States. One world, open for business.

Nothing embodies our interconnected world more than the reach and fluidity of global communications. The communications revolution is opening a gateway to freedom, a passage to knowledge, an avenue to understanding.

MW3 Content Collection 2 Review

And with Modern Warfare 3’s 2nd instalment of extra maps and goodies due to arrive on May 22nd, the good folk at Activision really are spoiling us.

A whole bundle of Warfare goodness will soon be in our mitts. 3 standard multiplayer maps, 2 spanking new Spec Ops missions and 4 smaller maps for the all new Face-Off game mode make up what is without doubt a veritable feast for avid ‘Codders’ to get their teeth into.

The 3 standard maps bundled into this release wear the name badges, Sanctuary, Foundation and Oasis. The former two surfaced last month as an Elite membership drop while the latter makes it’s debut here.

The good news is all three sit on the right side of decent.

Sanctuary is a sizable location for all your team excursions, it’s very easy on the eye with it’s mountaintop setting and carved rock good looks and is also a joy to play. Despite being a fairly big map it also holds a wealth of team work and tactical opportunities for those more in tune groups out there to take advantage of.

Foundation is much tighter affair. Set amid the iron and dust of a disused concrete factory the map plays at a heartbreak pace. Little time to think and nowhere to hide Foundation is a fantastic map for the run and gun gamer to practice that fine art. Towers hold sniping potential but you’ll have to be on your toes to stay alive. It’s a weaker map than Sanctuary and certainly looks a lot less appealing but thanks to the high tempo it will surely find a place in many a gamers heart.

Now to Oasis and thankfully with this newest of the standard MP maps there’s not a hairy eyebrow or recycled guitar riff in sight, no, this is a much more interesting release than anything the Gallagher brothers have put out in a while. This video shows the results of a Indoor Positioning System.

Oasis takes place in a seriously flash Dubai hotel, you know one of those places where the stolen dressing gown you’ve accidentally placed in your luggage upon departure becomes the most expensive item of clothing in your wardrobe……….no?…. Just me then…anyway, I’ll probably never know how one of these places functions as a hotel but as a venue for raining down a hail of gunfire upon your enemies it works a treat. The killing grounds are large enough for some good old cross courtyard shootouts while within the walls there are a nice number of claustrophobic corridors and close combat opportunities to lap up. It’s another solid performer in what is fast becoming one of the strongest collection of maps seen in a Call of Duty game since Call of Duty 3, and I’m seriously biased towards that old gem so I don’t say that lightly.

Onto the beachside location of Getaway then. Here we find ourselves within the sort of luxurious beachside holiday home I imagine most of the Activision employees own. The building is also a window cleaners nightmare with glass as far as the eye can see (which, when there’s glass everywhere is actually quite far.) Getaway is a run and gunners dream though, the use of so much glass means there’s little cover available and you’ll find small reward from taking a stealthy approach. The map looks great and plays just as well. Personally I didn’t notice any locations that were used for a team to try and bed in and take advantage of, rather, matches here became a compete high octane bullet fest until the final Kill cam rolled. Love it.

The final of the 4 is my own personal favourite. Aground, set amid a long rusted shipwreck and craggy features of the unforgiving Scottish coastline is an absolute beauty. This map feels slightly larger than the others, to the point in fact where having a good sniper on the team can prove a real bonus, but still maintains a high pace. There are places where teams can attempt to hold up and keep the enemy at bay but equally the potential to flank the holding team is very evident. Aground looks superb and plays like you always hope a map will, beautifully thrilling from start to finish.

So that takes care of the maps now let’s quickly look at the Spec Ops missions so I can get back to some Face Off action, and no, that has nothing to do with removing my make-up. I only wear that on Wednesdays.

With this collection comes a couple of fresh Spec Ops missions to get to grips with.

Iron Clad and Kill Switch can both be played either solo or in co-op. Iron Clad takes place in Hamburg and tasks you with clearing a path for a tank by placing C4 charges along it’s route while also dealing with a multitude of heavily armed enemy forces. Kill Switch meanwhile requires one player to infiltrate a Russian Comms station and detonate an EMP. One player heads into the fray on foot while the other takes up position on an overlooking bridge armed with that trustiest of weapons, the sniper rifle. Both missions are decent and, as ever, ramp up the fun in co-op play but make no mistake unless you’re seriously into your Spec Ops missions these two are merely the nibbles next to the real meat of this release, that being the maps.We offer over 600 landscape oil paintings at wholesale prices of 75% off retail.

All in all we have another triumph for Activision and there DLC. There’s just so much to be getting on with, new maps to discover, new modes to sample and new missions to embark upon. Everything seems polished and unrushed, each map has the power to deliver top notch gameplay and none, so far, have become stale. Keep ‘em coming!

Advantages & Disadvantages of floor types

Of all the decisions you must make in your home the material you chose for your kitchen floor might be one of the most the most difficult. We will look at the pluses and minuses of each floor covering so you can make an informed choice.

A quality glazed ceramic tile with a glossy finish is always a good choice when looking for a floor covering that is durable and elegant. A ceramic tile floor can take a tremendous physical beating and will last for years. The choice of styles, shapes, patterns and grout colors are seemingly endless. There is some debate over the quality of tiles. Trust your local home improvement contractor to point you in the right direction. A well-installed tile floor adds elegance and value to a home.

However, grout lines can be a nightmare with small children. Even when sealed, a spilled glass of juice can permanently stain the grout. Food and crumbs can lodge in the grout making cleaning difficult. Also, a glass jar that slipped through little hands does not stand a chance on a hard tile surface and will certainly break. This is a really pretty round china glass mosaic votive that has been covered with vintage china . Installation for the first time do-it-yourselfer can be difficult but not impossible. All the tools and information necessary are readily available and home improvement centers and tile outlets.Secured handsfree building and door access solutions with Hands free access by Nedap AVI. It can be quite difficult to remove a tile floor for the next remodeling so choose carefully.

Sheet goods are trade talk for one large piece of flooring material be it vinyl, linoleum, etc. A template is made of the entire area and the sheet is cut to size. The material is held down with glue around the perimeter and select spots in the field. Sheet goods are almost maintenance free. They clean very easily and are almost waterproof.I have just spent two weeks shopping for tile and have discovered China Porcelain tile. Perfect for kids too as they are very stain resistant, offer a softer cushion when junior drops the pickle jar and quite easy to clean with a damp mop. They come in a tremendous array of designs and styles. Easy to remove for you’re next remodeling project.
However, many people dislike the fake-looking patterns and commercial look of linoleum. I have found the surface to be slippery and might pose a slip-hazard to the elderly. We offer over 600 landscape oil paintings at wholesale prices of 75% off retail. Sheet goods do not withstand physical punishment as well and a chair or table leg can leave a permanent indentation and are susceptible to tears from a dropped knife.

Very easy for homeowners to install themselves with little tools or experience required. Individual tiles are lower in price and have lower installation costs. There are a tremendous variety of colors and styles available with new ones hitting the market almost every day. They are easy to maintain, clean, and offer a more forgiving surface for the kids than ceramic tile. Easy to remove if you have changed your mind about the color or pattern.Like sheet goods, the individual tile floor is not very durable and is susceptible to mars, dents and cuts. The self-adhesive tiles tend to come unglued over time. The many seams allow water to seep in between. Subsurface must be perfectly smooth or the tile might take the shape of the imperfection below.

The laminated wood floor is the new kid on the block. It makes for a wonderful, soft homey feel in a kitchen. A fine compliment to cabinets. Easy for the do-it-yourselfer to install with a minimum of tools and experience. Warmer than tile in the winter and foam backer makes for a softer landing. Surface virtually impenetrable and clean up is a snap.Usually found in a bedroom or hallway, the jury is still out as far as this product in a kitchen. Standing water can seep between the seams and wreak havoc with the wood underlay. Many people complain the pattern repeats too often and looks phony. The slippery surface can pose a danger.

Cork is a surprising new arrival on the kitchen floor scene. It is not your bulletin board cork laid on the floor but the product of a high-tech process that produces a great looking floor covering that is quite unique. Minimal seams add to ease of cleaning and prevent water seepage. Cork is forgiving surface for dropped china. Unlike wood, cork comes in limited styles and colors. Because it is new on the market, many contractors do not carry it and its rarity increases the price. Long term durability has not been tested.

Yes cement. Through innovative processes that allow for reduced weight and flexibility, concrete has turned up in new places. Poured concrete on a kitchen floor is a real conversation starter. Colors and patters abound. Through the use of aggregate (stones) and a grinding process, along with dyes and shaping forms, the design
flexibility is almost limitless. Durability and water resistance is obviously very good. Concrete should be considered a high-end product and few contractors have the expertise to install it. Rock-hard surface is deadly on fine china. What is a real time Location system ? If you chose concrete, make sure you select very carefully because tearing up a concrete floor can be a big, expensive job.

Britney Spears joining Fox’s ‘The X Factor’

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are joining the judging panel on “The X Factor” this fall, part of Fox’s effort to boost its underperforming music competition shows.

The network’s executives, in presenting next season’s schedule to advertisers on Monday, also promised changes for “American Idol.” While “Idol” remains Fox’s centerpiece, as it has been for the past decade, it has lost a quarter of its audience this year.

Fox is adding two new comedies and a drama in the fall, pumping new life into “Glee” by moving it to a new night with guest stars Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker and touting a midseason drama starring Kevin Bacon as “the new ‘24.’”

The Spears announcement overshadowed the others. Despite weeks of rumors, it wasn’t official until she strode onto New York’s Beacon Theater stage wearing a white minidress, accompanied by show creator Simon Cowell and fellow judges Lovato and L.What is a real time Location system ?A. Reid.

“I’m so excited about the whole experience,” Spears said. “It’s going to be so much fun and different from anything I’ve ever done. I’m ready to find the true star.”

Lovato said she was “totally stoked” to join the cast.

They replace judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who were dispatched along with host Steve Jones after last fall’s debut season of the competition didn’t meet the creator’s inflated expectations.

“Not to be negative about the people leaving, but we just felt the mix could be more effective and more entertaining,” said Peter Rice, entertainment chairman for the Fox Networks Group.

Fox’s entertainment president, Kevin Reilly, also promised work on “American Idol” next season but didn’t specify anything.

“This year was a bigger drop-off than we anticipated,” Reilly said.

He said “Idol” made no changes from the previous year and there was little “urgency to view” at the beginning of the season. This video shows the results of a Indoor Positioning System. He said there was still a lot of life left in the franchise.

“Glee,” once a sensation, saw its viewership drop by 21 percent this season. It will move to Thursday nights and a comfortable 8 p.m. time slot following “The X Factor” in the fall. Reilly said the show is “poised for a creative renaissance” and has Hudson and Parker lined up for multi-episode guest slots.

Part of the reason Fox moved “Glee” is to make Tuesday a four-sitcom night, with two new shows joining “New Girl” and “Raising Hope.” Mindy Kaling, actress, producer and writer for “The Office,” creates and stars in “The Mindy Project,” a romantic comedy about a doctor looking for love.Shop for oil painting and oil paintings for sale included. The other new comedy, “Ben and Kate,” is about a pair of odd couple siblings.

“We’ve been building comedy momentum on Tuesday, and we finally have the shows that have exactly the tone that we are looking for,” Reilly said.

The fall’s only new drama is “The Mob Doctor,” on Monday night, about a young doctor who has to pay off her family’s lifelong debt to the Chicago mob.Museum quality hand-painted fine oil painting reproduction on canvas.

Reilly said Bacon’s hiring for the midseason drama “The Following” was the casting coup of the year. Bacon plays a former FBI agent asked to come back to work to chase a serial killer he had caught once before. The killer escaped from prison and has resumed a series of grisly murders.

Another comedy focused on a family, “The Goodwin Games,” is due at midseason and stars actor Scott Foley of “Felicity” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Fox’s long-running drama “House” is ending its run this spring, and the network is canceling high-profile dramas “Terra Nova” and “Alcatraz.”

Fox also has made changes to its long-running Saturday night lineup, where “COPS” won’t return until midseason.Monz Werkzeugbau und Formenbau. In the fall, Fox will present live sports events such as college football, Major League baseball and NASCAR races that night.
